Summary

You will play a crucial role in building and scaling the financial and operating infrastructure, working directly with the Chief of Staff. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including tracking SaaS metrics, developing KPIs, partnering with other teams on growth targets, and supporting financial reporting. You will analyze data, identify trends, and support executive reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience in management consulting or investment banking, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in management consulting or investment banking, and 1-2 years of experience at high-growth B2B SaaS business
• Experience in SaaS metrics, financial planning, modeling and creating data-driven analysis
• Board / executive level reporting experience
• Demonstrated excellent project management skills, ability to manage and manipulate large data sets, critically analyze existing processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement
• High degree of adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple priorities
• Your work in Excel is accurate and clear
• You get things done – fast. You learn fast and are able to get up to speed quickly on new tools and technologies. You take ownership and solve problems when you see them
• You are empathetic and will enjoy collaborating with other departments
• No job is too big or too small for you. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves
• Based in the US

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our Chief of Staff to build and scale our financial and operating infrastructure while getting unparalleled exposure to all aspects of running a fast-growing B2B SaaS business
• Track key SaaS metrics as well as support developing and maintaining KPIs to assist with the decision-making that aligns with the company’s objectives
• Partner with other teams in thinking through and modeling forward-looking growth targets
• Partner with our accountant during the month-end close process to ensure accurate company-wide financial reporting and revenue recognition
• Analyze large sets of data and identify trends and patterns
• Support Board and executive reporting
• Identify high ROI opportunities improving our systems and processes, and partner with others to make them a reality

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding what matters to the C-level executives
• Experience working with a CRM
• Experience or willingness to work on HR/people processes or problems
• You thrive in ambiguity. You’ve been an early employee at a similarly early stage startup and you know what it’s like (you’ll be employee #70ish at Freshpaint)
• Familiarity with GAAP accounting and BI tools
