Finance Assistant

Summary

The job is a Finance & Accounting role in the Netherlands for the EU finance team. The candidate will perform various financial tasks such as invoicing, credit control, VAT reporting, bank management, journal posting, reconciliations, and data collection for management reports. They should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related discipline with 2+ years of experience in a similar level or role within accounting/finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (HBO) in Accounting, Business or related discipline
• 2+ years of experience in a similar level or role within accounting/finance
• Expert-level knowledge of excel
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Experience in SaaS and/or recurring revenue Industry
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities
• Experience with audit

Responsibilities

• Produce timely, accurate, and reliable financial information
• Assist various countries with invoicing, receipt management, sales ledger control, credit control, supplier invoice management, purchase ledger control, periodic VAT reporting, expense management, bank and cash management, journal posting, general ledger management, ledger and nominal reconciliations periodically
• Collect and report on data for management for the EU region for the Toronto headquarters
• Assistance with annual budgets Governance
• Report unusual activities or system weaknesses to senior management, advise on solutions
• Ensure the organization’s financial policies and procedures are implemented
• Keep track of the possible differences between country-specific accounting policies and the organization’s accounting policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Netsuite would be an asset
• Experience with O365
