Join dLocal as the Finance Operations Lead for Brazil and oversee all local financial operations, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations. Lead Treasury, Accounting, and Foreign Exchange functions, playing a strategic and operational role in supporting company growth. You will design and implement robust financial controls and reporting frameworks. Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements. Oversee statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory filings. Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency between local practices and group-wide strategies. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making. Represent the company in regulatory audits and industry forums.
Requirements
- 8+ years of senior financial leadership experience within regulated financial institutions in Brazil (e.g., banks, payment institutions, fintechs)
- In-depth knowledge of Brazilian financial regulations (BACEN) with a track record of regulatory engagement
- Proven experience managing Treasury, Accounting, and FX operations in complex or high-growth environments
- Strategic mindset with the ability to build and execute scalable financial frameworks
- Hands-on leadership style, capable of both operational deep dives and high-level financial strategy
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, both internally and externally
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Full professional fluency in English is required
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all financial operations in Brazil, including Treasury, Accounting, and FX/e-FX activities
- Ensure full compliance with Brazilian financial regulations (e.g., Banco Central, CVM), acting as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and external partners
- Design and implement robust financial controls, reporting frameworks, and treasury strategies aligned with both local regulations and global standards
- Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, capital requirements, and investment strategies to support operational and regulatory needs
- Oversee statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, and timely submission of all regulatory financial filings
- Collaborate closely with global Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure consistency between local practices and group-wide strategies
- Provide financial insights, risk assessments, and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making
- Represent the company in regulatory audits, board-level discussions, and relevant industry forums
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree, an MBA, or a CPA/CRC certification is a strong plus
- SAP knowledge is a plus
