Summary
Join a dynamic, VC-backed company as a highly motivated and analytical Financial Analyst - Sales. This crucial role supports sales and finance teams by providing data-driven insights, financial reporting, and strategic analysis. You will analyze sales performance, optimize revenue streams, and contribute to planning and forecasting. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, financial modeling skills, and excellent communication skills to convey complex data to non-finance stakeholders. This remote position offers competitive compensation and benefits and minimal travel. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
- 2β5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably in sales finance or commercial finance
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI), CRM systems like Salesforce and Clari, and ERP or FP&A systems (e.g., NetSuite, Cube)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex data into simple business insights
Responsibilities
- Analyze sales results, pipeline trends, and customer segmentation to evaluate business performance and recommend actionable insights
- Partner with Sales and Finance teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets. Maintain ongoing forecast updates and variance tracking
- Monitor revenue and key metrics by product, region, and sales rep; assist in identifying growth opportunities and potential risks
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support sales leadership and executive decision-making
- Develop and maintain models for sales compensation, quota attainment, pricing analysis, and ROI for marketing and sales initiatives
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Ops, and Finance to ensure alignment on targets, initiatives, and outcomes
- Perform deep-dive analyses on sales trends, customer behavior, deal economics, and other key business drivers as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-growth, B2B, or SaaS environment
- MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus but not required
