Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification required, with experience handling complex tax filings for small businesses
  • Minimum of 4+ years of accounting/finance experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven experience with financial software, ERP systems, and automation tools
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial insights effectively

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Moxie’s corporate books, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and finalize Moxie’s corporate taxes and tax credits annually
  • Manage payroll reporting and ensure accurate 1099 filings and tax compliance
  • Implement and oversee internal financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure financial health
  • Oversee and scale sales tax reporting, invoicing, and registration of certificates across 150+ managed corporations
  • Ensure compliance with all state filing requirements and maintain good standing for all entities
  • Purchase and manage Moxie’s financial software toolkit to oversee P&Ls for Moxie’s partners and managed corporations
  • Lead vendor management across all departments, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with financial plans
  • Manage Ramp accounts, overseeing expenses, reimbursements, and card issuance
  • Provide financial insights to leadership, driving strategic decision-making
  • Develop financial dashboards and reporting systems to enhance visibility into Moxie’s financial health
  • Optimize existing financial processes and introduce automation to improve efficiency
