Summary

Join UpCloud's Finance team as a Financial Controller in Helsinki or remotely! This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth and ownership. You will manage the accuracy of group financials, oversee the consolidation process, and play a key role in monthly closing. Collaborate with auditors, manage tax processes, and develop financial control frameworks. This is a hands-on position requiring strong accounting and finance expertise within a fast-paced, low-hierarchy culture.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of working experience in auditing and/or controlling
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models and growth company culture
  • Strong understanding of Finnish Accounting Standards, relevant tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements
  • Youโ€™re a fluent Finnish speaker as financial statements, tax reporting etc. need to be carried out in Finnish
  • Experience in working in a multinational company
  • Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities, and co-operate with the team to execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Youโ€™re comfortable using English daily in a work context

Responsibilities

  • Manage the accuracy of our monthly reporting both on subsidiary and Group level (FAS)
  • Oversee the Group consolidation process
  • Compile the Group financial statements together with the Group Accountant
  • Manage our audit partners both in Finland and globally to oversee smooth audit processes
  • Manage and develop processes and tools for robust financial controls framework & governance
  • Take ownership of the Groupโ€™s tax compliance with the help of the CFO and our external tax consultants - topics ranging from branch registrations to transfer pricing, CIT, VAT, GST etc
  • Review quarterly sales commission calculations for accuracy
  • Drive cash management across the Group
  • Support in management reporting and KPIs

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Netsuite is considered an advantage
