Requirements

• BCom Degree or Equivalent
• Strong finance-based analytical skills
• 7+ years of accounting experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team
• Technically astute on accounting and tax developments

Responsibilities

• Owning the Group’s accounting and tax, which includes the preparation and submitting of tax returns
• Manage accounting team. You will be responsible for performance reviews, salary input and providing coaching and development feedback to those reporting to you
• Review journals and monthly recs
• Oversee preparation of Management accounts
• Payroll review and approval
• Drive best practices and process optimization in accounting and internal controls
• Optimization of monthly reporting
• Consolidation of SA and International groups
• Compile AFS and be main contact for financial audit
• Oversee debtors and creditors management
• Insurance management
• Preparation of the Accounting budget
• Accounting system integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Xero experience preferable
• Proven track record of process optimization
• Software/tech industry/SaaS experience preferable
