Summary

The job is for a Financial Operations (FinOps) Assistant at Persado who will manage Accounts Payable and T&E transactions, improve processes, handle financial reporting and analysis, ensure compliance, and more. The ideal candidate should be a Part Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent with prior experience in an Accounts Payable role.

Requirements

  • Part Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Strong MS Office and GSuite experience
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Accounting systems experience (Netsuite preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Process all vendor invoices as well as expense reports, and other payment requests
  • Ensure that invoices are accurately coded, approved, and processed in a timely manner
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Manage relationships with vendors and address inquiries or concerns related to payments
  • Work with the procurement team to ensure all invoices are associated with a previously approved purchase order according with company policies
  • Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly account reconciliations
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the AP and T&E processes and improve efficiency
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance accuracy and effectiveness
  • Leverage technology solutions to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual intervention
  • Generate regular reports and analyses to track key AP metrics, such as aging reports, DPO, and cash flow projections in conjunction with the FinOps Manager
  • Work with the FinOps Manager to provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance and trends
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly P&L analysis to ensure proper expense recognition and accruals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or errors
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries as needed
