Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3+ years PQE (CA or CPA Qualified)
- A relevant Tertiary qualification in Finance/Commerce or similar
Responsibilities
- Strong technical experience with the ability to take ownership of financial reporting and finance operations, working independently to deliver outcomes with minimal supervision
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements, reconciliations, and delivering high quality analysis and reporting against budget
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, to senior management and stakeholders
- Experience in managing financial operations, including billings, customer collections, and the accounts payable function
- Leading and driving the development and implementation of best practice processes in our finance function, tailored for a high growth SaaS environment
- Lead external audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements and processes
- Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting policies, including staying up to date with new international and local GAAP technical accounting standards and the applicability to Deputy
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support strategic decision-making
- Proven track record of successful people management, including leading, mentoring, and developing teams
- Experience in performance management, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting regular performance reviews
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast moving environment or global company
- Advanced Excel skills and experience
- Netsuite experience
- Big 4 Audit background
- A minimum of 2+ years of direct management experience is preferred, with a demonstrated ability in fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture
- Experience with SOX or other similar control frameworks
