Forward Deployed Engineer

Summary

Join Addepar as a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) and partner directly with key clients on large enterprise engagements. FDEs build custom data integrations, extend platform capabilities, and drive impactful change. You'll work in small, autonomous teams, setting priorities, leading client interactions, and delivering critical projects. This role offers diverse opportunities to solve complex technical challenges, explore new technologies, and contribute to scalable solutions. You'll collaborate with engineering and product teams, providing valuable insights and contributing to the core product. Addepar offers a market-based approach to pay, with a salary range of $101,000 - $158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits (specific range depends on location).

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a professional Software Engineer
• Proficiency with one or more object-oriented programming language (Java and/or Python preferred) and/or compiled language (Go, Rust, Scala preferred)
• Experience building systems with Relational or NoSQL database storage
• BS+ in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or other highly technical field paired with software industry experience
• Ability to lead complex projects, relationships and timelines
• Excels working in a cross disciplinary team/environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in one or more strongly typed server side programming language (ex: Java, C++)
• Experience with distribution storage & execution frameworks (ex. Arrow, Spark, Flink, Storm)
