Summary

Join Alma, a mission-driven company simplifying access to affordable mental health care, as a Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager of FP&A, you will collaborate with various teams to prepare monthly reports, participate in budgeting, build dashboards, and enhance analytical capabilities. You will play a key role in developing actionable insights and supporting strategic business decisions. This position requires 2-3 years of finance experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with business intelligence tools. Requirements

  • You have 2-3 years of finance experience
  • You have experience working with cross-functional teams, and providing support to various departments
  • You have excellent Excel skills, experience using business intelligence tools, and have the ability to quickly learn new financial applications and systems
  • You have experience using complex financial models, and have the ability to use large data sets to build dynamic models that provide valuable insights
  • You have experience instituting new processes and implementing the latest technology in a fast paced, data-driven environment
  • You have sound written and verbal communication skills, as you will be partnering and presenting to senior leadership and external partners
  • You are passionate about Almaโ€™s mission to simplify access to high-quality, affordable mental health care

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for internal business leaders and for our investors
  • Participate in budgeting and reforecasting processes, gaining exposure to the full P&L
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to build dashboards and fulfill data requests
  • Grow the FP&A teamโ€™s analytical capabilities to better support Operations and Product stakeholders
  • Partner with the Accounting team to build trusted financial reporting systems and internal processes
  • Provide support to our Operations teams to meet and exceed their goals, and to help them manage their monthly spend
  • Provide valuable insight to senior leadership on key metrics and goals
  • Deliver on ad hoc projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hyper-growth startup is a plus
  • Experience using Lightdash is a plus
  • You may have SQL experience (not required, but helpful)
