Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in both US and Indian accounting practices with expertise in general accounting, a strong background in journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Ability to work with complex data, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and journal entries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess financial data and make informed decisions
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a minimum 2-hour daily overlap with US business hours (Mountain Standard Time)
- Ability to interact with and improve financial systems through innovation and automation
- High-speed internet connection to facilitate a remote working environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US and Indian accounting principles and company policies
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner across multi-entity and multi-currency environments
- Conduct revenue audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper recognition of revenue transactions
- Prepare and assist with financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders, management, and external auditors
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including tax filings and audits applicable in both US and India
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance financial reporting
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and audit teams, to resolve accounting-related issues across different regions
