Summary
Join Stripe as a Global Retail Lead to shape the company's growth strategy in the retail, ecommerce, and brick-and-mortar industry. As an expert in retail, you will provide industry expertise to define and articulate the value of Stripe's solutions. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, product teams to embed deep industry knowledge and support account teams to drive strategic deals.
Requirements
- A commercial mindset, ideally with direct sales experience closing new business and/or expansion of existing users
- Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple stakeholders
- Experience in defining user needs and translating those needs into solutions and GTM strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to derive actionable insights from large amounts of information and clearly articulate complex ideas
- A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships and influence outcomes with business partners
- A proven ability to be a self-starter capable of driving business results
- An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality and thrive in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to travel around 25% to industry events, Stripe-led events or key customer meetings
Responsibilities
- Shape the Stripe GTM strategy for the next wave of Retail growth
- Enterprise selling - continue to stay engaged with account teams until deal signed and activated
- Represent Stripe at Industry events, communities, online events and provide differentiated perspective on industry trends
- Craft high-impact, executive level narrative and presentations for CxOs while working cross functionally with our Sales and Presales teams
- Identify prospective enterprise customers in Retail and supporting account teams in prospecting, pipeline creation and revenue generation
- Build strong relationships with regional sales leaders to be a key driver on strategic account planning and engagements
- Support GTM account team across the sales cycle to accelerate the growth of our business with existing and prospective customers, bringing industry experience
- Serve as both an internal and customer-facing expert on the Retail industry for Stripe, keeping abreast of global industry and technology trends and how they impact players globally
- Work in partnership with product teams to provide insights to continue to shape industry leading solutions
- Support and enable sales teams to understand your industry more deeply, creating industry playbooks and leading enablement on industry insights
- Support the Partnerships team in identifying, prioritizing and engaging with key financial services partners to build a global ecosystem that powers Stripe’s leadership in the industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Payments and/or Enterprise Software industry experience
- Experience in a top-tier management consulting firm
- Prior experience leading/growing a high growth industry-focused team
- Direct or indirect Sales experience
- Industry lead position
