Join Arc'teryx as the Global Retail Creative Director and lead the team responsible for creating exceptional brand experiences in Arc'teryx retail spaces worldwide. This role demands a highly experienced leader capable of driving innovative ideas, creating compelling consumer journeys, and evolving brand standards. The position is primarily based in North Vancouver but offers remote work flexibility. You will be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and external partners to deliver impactful retail experiences. This leadership role also includes coaching and developing your team.
Requirements
- 10+ year’s experience in progressive creative leadership roles at a DTC brand and related post-secondary education
- Possess a deep appreciation and understanding of the distinctive cultures that exist in urban centers and mountain regions
- Have experience scaling retail concepts globally – working across different cultures and time zones
- Have a deep respect of the outdoor and mountain environment
- Have experience leading a team of multidisciplinary talent
- Have expertise in creative direction across retail channels and media
- Have deep experience creating alignment across cross-functional teams and disciplines

Responsibilities
- Lead with inspiration and empathy
- Establish and lead the creative vision for the present and future of Arc’teryx retail
- Lead and inspire the in-house retail concepts and design team to translate briefs and story themes into a compelling brand experience
- Engage with cross-functional key stakeholders to ensure stores designs are aligned with Arc’teryx brand ethos
- Deliver brand experience with channel excellence and built-for-purpose creative solutions
- Work collaboratively within the Commercial and Creative Leadership teams to bring our unique brand identity and product positioning to life within the retail space
- Elevate the presentation of product storytelling rooted in our key categories of Climb, Snow, and Trail to ensure retail space feels authentic, inclusive, and immersive
- Identify the ever-evolving “what’s next” and how to get there, inspire your team and others to continually raise the creative bar while understanding the future of the retail landscape
- Maintain a holistic view of the business and retail ecosystem to ensure design solutions are integrated with product, brand, and retail operations while understanding broader business dependencies and opportunities
- Identify and collaborate with external partners and agencies for specific design projects, managing timelines and budgets to deliver impactful retail experiences
- Design and deliver compelling and persuasive presentations of design concepts for internal teams and senior leadership, ensuring alignment on retail vision and impact on guest experience
- Evolve and iterate Arc’teryx’s retail brand guidelines ensuring they are purpose built and scalable
- Coach, lead and manage the career, workload and professional development of your team and contractors, as well as building a strong pipeline of creative talent
- Make bold decisions that drive clarity within the team to ensure retail designs are innovative yet grounded in brand strategy

- Building a compelling vision— both short term and long-term—along with masterfully crafted decks that drive collaboration and alignment across platforms and the company

- $176,000 - $220,000 a year
