Summary
Join Morgan Advanced Materials as their Global Segment Director Energy and lead a global team focused on the energy market. Reporting to the Global Commercial VP, you will be responsible for approximately β¬40-50M in revenue. This remote position, based in the US (East Coast preferred) or Europe, requires building and managing a team, developing strategic plans, and driving business development within clean energy, renewables, and conventional power generation. You will oversee product lifecycle, manage key accounts, and collaborate with various teams. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in the energy sector, a strong engineering background, and proven leadership skills.
Requirements
- Exposure to the broad Energy market through direct and significant work experiences either in Clean Energy and Renewables, or Conventional Power Generation and/ or Oil and Gas/ Petrochemical
- A network in the Energy market and attuned to innovations in this space
- +8 yearsβ experience leading sales, marketing, or NBD for technology companies
- A degree in engineering is a must
- Successful management experience of a global team

- Financial understanding of revenue, pricing, margins, DSOs, forecasting, budgeting

Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans
- Identify market trends and understand the technology landscape
- Obtain competitor insights and set pricing guidelines
- Formulate and implement market development strategies with regional sales teams
- Emphasize new business opportunities
- Establish mid to long-term business plans with key and strategic accounts
- Pursue new business opportunities through new product introductions, new applications, certifications with large clients, and entry into new market spaces
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Collaborate with the Technology group and Centres of Excellence (CoEs)
- Engage with global organizations and contribute to regional commercial execution plans
- Oversee product lifecycle and qualifications
- Convert technical customer requirements into global opportunities
- Create business cases
- Develop and launch new products in collaboration with CoEs and Global Strategy
- Set floor pricing
- Act as an interface between Strategy, Commercial Execution, Technology, and Operations
