Join Mutiny, Trailer Park Groupβs integrated creative agency, as a Group Account Director to lead and manage client engagements for three social-first retainers. You will be a strategic client partner, overseeing client relationships, driving account growth, and leading cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include monitoring the competitive landscape, negotiating annual fees, and managing the agency's scope of work. You will also contribute to business development and foster positive internal relationships. This role requires 10+ years of experience in an integrated marketing agency, experience managing social-first clients, and a passion for video games. The position is based on the West Coast.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience at an integrated marketing agency
- Experience in leading and managing clients through social-first retainers
- Experience managing social-forward clients in an agency environment
- Reside on the West Coast
- Demonstrated track record of positive client and team leadership
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic, strategic, and imaginative; approachable, outgoing, and diplomatic
Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate the competitive landscape to provide senior-level strategic insights
- Engage with clients at all levels and continue ongoing relationship development
- Identify opportunities for account growth
- Oversee and manage client relationships for three social-first retainers
- Be a trusted partner of senior clients and decision makers; build relationships beyond our day-to-day clients and into the C-suite of a clientβs organization
- Possess a deep understanding of the client's business, objectives, and how our work will drive their success
- Drive annual fee negotiations and be responsible for developing and managing the agency's scope of work
- Demonstrate command over the entire business from a macro-business point of view to the details of key projects
- Acts as a go-to person for cross-functional team(s), collaborates effectively with Strategic Planning, Creative, etc
- Own the account narrative internally, orchestrating agency-management involvement to drive the agency agenda and deepen the relationship
- Strategically and assertively manage the financial health of accounts, ensuring agency profitability
- Foster positive internal relationships, ensuring all parties understand deliverables and the client's needs
- Actively seek opportunities to contribute to the agency culture above and beyond current assignments and responsibilities
- Plot out organic growth with a clear strategy and plan
- Participate in new business development
- Lead client and agency team to deliver best-in-class creative work, and responsible for quality of output and thinking on the account
- Maintain total account oversight by putting the right team in place across client businesses and understand when to provide structure and when ideas need freedom to flourish
- Be a trusted leader of the agency team across all disciplines and the operational leader ultimately accountable for client- and agency-business success
- Set vision for the account in line with the agency's goals and outline clear, creative, and business growth expectations for the agency team
