Join Carry1st, Africa’s leading games publisher, as a Growth Manager, Platform, and drive the company's expansion across Africa and the Middle East. Your main objective will be to grow customers and revenue for the Carry1st Platform, establishing it as the leading gaming and digital content marketplace. This involves understanding local gamer needs, executing activations, building relationships with publishers, and forging strategic partnerships. You will lead growth initiatives, develop go-to-market strategies, manage partnerships, leverage data insights, and collaborate with other teams. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in growth, marketing, or business development, preferably in gaming or e-commerce, with a proven track record of scaling brands in Africa and the Middle East. This is a remote position offering various benefits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in growth, marketing, or business development, preferably in gaming, digital content, or e-commerce
  • Proven track record of scaling brands, publishers, or businesses across Africa and the Middle East
  • Strong experience building and managing strategic partnerships with media companies, payment providers, esports organizations, or brands
  • Deep understanding of gaming culture in Africa and the Middle East, with the ability to speak the language of gamers
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze metrics and optimize marketing strategies accordingly
  • Self-driven and accountable, with a high degree of ownership and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic or French is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead growth initiatives that drive revenue, user acquisition, and engagement across key markets in Africa and the Middle-East
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to ensure growth for Carry1st Shop and its partnered games, including paid media, influencer activations, social media, community events, out-of-home campaigns, and traditional media
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with key media outlets, esports organizations, payment providers, brands, and super-apps to amplify Carry1st’s reach and engagement
  • Leverage data and market insights to refine growth strategies, identifying high-performing campaigns and optimizing customer acquisition cost (CAC)
  • Collaborate with other functions such as Product, Design or Customer Support to improve the Carry1st Platform experience
  • Be the regional expert, providing insights and recommendations to internal teams and global partners about gaming trends, user behavior, and market opportunities in Africa and the Middle-East
  • Have fun and work on exciting projects that shape the future of gaming and digital content in emerging markets
