Join our team as an HCM Project Manager – Expert and play a key role in a major HR Digital Transformation initiative. This remote position involves transitioning from disparate HR systems to a modern, integrated solution. You will assist the Program Director in developing strategies, evaluating software, establishing a program office, and creating deliverables. Proven ERP HR consultation experience with large, complex organizations is essential, along with strong communication and project management skills. Government experience is highly desired. The role requires managing project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful implementation and meet client needs.

Requirements

  • Possess proven ERP HR consultation experience, guiding enterprise clients toward the purchase of ERP HR solutions that meet needs across large, complex organizations
  • Be able to quickly ascertain the client’s needs based on capabilities, then assist in developing detailed strategies clearly outlining the required steps, and project timelines necessary to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Be able to create large, complex reports for client executive management and state legislative offices/personnel, adhering to strict timelines for completion
  • Possess proven experience as follows: Experienced and successful at project planning, controlling and closing
  • Possess proven experience as follows: Efficient constraint resolution
  • Possess proven experience as follows: Productive agency and executive communication and negotiation skills
  • Possess proven experience as follows: Full lifecycle project oversight
  • Possess proven experience as follows: Staff supervision and training
  • Possess proven experience as follows: Project implementation meets intended requirements and specifications
  • Possess proven experience as follows: Project implementation meets operational needs of users and stakeholders
  • Have project management experience that meets the needs of a large complex entity (7 years)
  • Have State Government ERP project management experience
  • Have State Government HR business process knowledge
  • Have knowledge of SAP ERP on-premise HR-Payroll or similar ERP
  • Have experience implementing cloud HCM solutions, preferably from at least 2 different vendors (7 years)
  • Have effective stakeholder coordination and consensus building skills (7 years)

Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Director in establishing the HR Digital Transformation program office
  • Draft the business case for the project
  • Facilitate communication efforts to gain buy-in from State Executive Leaders and Legislative bodies
  • Design a comprehensive strategy and identify objectives to achieve an overall successful outcome
  • Assist in designing a change communication strategy and serve as a champion for the project
  • Develop project timelines necessary to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Ensure the project is in scope, on-time and within budget
  • Determine appropriate staffing resources for the project and deployment of resources
  • Recommend operations and maintenance resource staffing levels
  • Provide centralized, consistent goals and direction for the core project team
  • Assist with effective program and project change management, communication and training planning and execution
  • Ensure milestones and deliverables are identified, achieved, accurate and in line with the project plan
  • Ensure project status is regularly, accurately and timely communicated
  • Provide solution proposal and resolution of complex issues
  • Ensure issues and risks are identified early, escalated and resolved
  • Ensure customer and stakeholder needs and expectations are fulfilled
  • Ensure the solution meets requirements, regulations, specifications and fulfills its intended purpose
  • Provide continuous monitoring and evaluation from inception to completion
  • Support the team on the development of the HR RFP(s)
  • Assist in development, review and support facilitation of the evaluation process for the HCM competitive evaluation
  • Review implementation service provider deliverables to help ensure consistency with SOW and state expectation
  • Support client Programs as requested and ensure project/program integrations as necessary
  • Develop documentation in support of client Programs and processes where identified as necessary to understand the "As Is" and "To Be" processes and for consideration in communication, training and change management
  • Support special projects as designated by client specifically as it relates directly or indirectly to the HR Digital Transformation Program
