Summary
Join LastPass as the Head of Commerce Engineering and lead the development and scaling of end-to-end eCommerce systems. You will be a key contributor to the company's commerce strategy, owning the strategy and execution of platforms powering the customer journey. Requirements
- Proven executive leadership in managing large-scale eCommerce, subscription, and payment systems for SaaS or consumer technology companies
- Leadership experience with Commerce platforms and experience working in product management or engineering organizations
- Proven ability to translate business strategies and architecture requirements into actionable and scalable technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver technologies that enhance the customer experience across web, mobile, and digital channels, ensuring seamless integration and engagement
- Ability to drive a forward-thinking, innovative culture by identifying emerging trends, experimenting with new technologies, and quickly adapting to changing business and customer needs
- Technical depth in eCommerce architecture, subscription management platforms (e.g., Zuora, Stripe, RevPro), payment systems (CyberSource, Ayden, etc) integrations and NetSuite ERP
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical strategies with broader company goals
- Exceptional leadership, team building, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- In-depth knowledge of SaaS business models, product led growth motions, billing workflows, and subscription-based revenue operations
- Knowledge of global payment compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)
Responsibilities
- Partner with both the business and technical teams to innovate and deliver customer experiences at every digital touchpoint
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital technology roadmap with clearly defined target states aligned to business goals
- Oversee teams for web and commerce platforms, ensuring timely development of features while maintaining platform performance and scalability
- Drive platform transformations (e.g., headless commerce) and manage ongoing software development process improvements to optimize speed-to-market
- Build, manage, and optimize subscription, billing, and payment platforms to deliver a world-class customer experience. Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and seamlessly integrated with adjacent engineering systems and processes
- Oversee the architecture, development, and operations of eCommerce systems, connecting engineering platforms, and ensuring frictionless workflows that support the customer journey from purchase to renewal
- Partner with data teams to implement insights-driven solutions, enabling actionable reporting, forecasting, and optimization of commerce operations
- Ensure adherence to global compliance and security standards for payments and billing systems, safeguarding customer trust and data integrity
- Manage and grow a high-performing global team of product owners, engineers, and administrators, fostering a culture of innovation, empowerment, and collaboration
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously innovate and improve the organizationโs technology landscape
- Drive a culture of innovation and experimentation across the team to align with strategic objectives
