Head of Finance

Join our team as Head of Finance, a remote, full-time position operating within the EST timezone with a required 9am-1pm overlap. This crucial role demands deep expertise in inventory accounting, ERP systems, and manufacturing workflows to enhance efficiency and financial accuracy. You will oversee all operational finance activities, including inventory accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and cost accounting. The primary focus is ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls and supporting the financial health of our manufacturing operations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to improve financial processes and systems, particularly in ERP management and inventory accounting. This role involves supervising and mentoring a team of finance professionals.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Odoo, or NetSuite, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) to manage and streamline financial operations
• Strong background in manufacturing finance and complex supply chain operations
• Extensive experience in inventory accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and cost accounting
• Demonstrated success in handling complex accounts payable scenarios
• Solid experience with cash flow forecasting and management
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and operations
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively within a respectful work environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the company’s ERP system (preferably Odoo, or similar systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or Dynamics) to ensure accurate and efficient financial data management
• Oversee inventory accounting processes, including accurate valuation, reconciliations, and reporting for manufactured goods
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, working closely with HR and operations
• Lead month-end and year-end reconciliations for all financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Manage cost accounting activities to track and analyze production costs, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability
• Partner with operations to ensure alignment between financial and manufacturing workflows, optimizing financial processes to improve operational efficiency
• Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, respect, and proactive problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with U.S.-based companies and accounting/reporting standards is preferred
