Head of Public Policy

Summary

The job is for a Lead Public Policy role in the Gulf region at Trendyol International. The candidate will be responsible for shaping a favorable environment for growth and positive impact across various markets by designing and implementing public affairs strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing expert guidance to senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in public policy, government relations, or a related field in the technology industry and/or highly regulated industries
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Arabic
• Extensive knowledge of the policy landscape in the Gulf region, with a focus on e-commerce regulations and emerging trends

Responsibilities

• Ensure Trendyol’s product and business teams operate in full compliance with local regulations
• Proactively identify and address potential challenges related to the product and business teams
• Develop a deep understanding of business priorities and legislative trends
• Work seamlessly with senior leaders across policy, communications, legal, marketing, operations, and other teams to drive alignment
• Keep senior management informed on critical political and economic developments in the region through regular reports and briefings
