Summary

Join Wargaming as the Head of QA for the World of Warships PC project, leading the QA department and overseeing all QA processes. You will manage a team of four streams, improve pipelines, and integrate quality assurance best practices into the development cycle. You will implement skill assessments and a competency matrix for QA engineers, maintain partnerships with stakeholders, and foster collaboration between teams. Responsibilities include understanding project roadmaps, identifying risks, and optimizing testing processes. The ideal candidate possesses extensive QA experience in game development, strong leadership skills, knowledge of testing methodologies, excellent communication, and strong analytical abilities.

Requirements

  • Diverse high level QA experience in gamedev industry
  • Managerial and leadership skills, both in direct and indirect management
  • Knowledge of modern testing methodologies, tools and approaches
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Strong analytical skills, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • English B2 or higher

Responsibilities

  • Leading QA department of the project, having some streams in direct reporting and consulting other QA teams of the project
  • Manage hiring, performance management and development of team members for both individual contributors and team leads
  • Navigating implementation of skill assessments and a competency matrix for all QA Engineers of the project
  • Maintaining close partnerships with all stakeholders, including development director, heads of other departments
  • Establishing quality interactions between QA engineers in different teams and with employees from other disciplines and products
  • Getting and sharing in depth knowledge about the project, participating in creation of roadmaps, understanding the development teams’ plans and highlighting risks, implementing new approaches to optimize and streamline testing process
