Summary

Join Primer, a leading unified payment infrastructure company, and lead the growth of our North America, Middle East, and Rest of the World (NAMER) sales strategy. In this role, you will build and scale a high-performing team of business development managers, driving new business growth by identifying and securing merchant customers. You will develop and nurture key relationships, become a product expert, and foster cross-team collaboration. Requirements

  • Proven Sales Leadership: 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 3+ years managing a team of BDMs, ideally within the payments or fintech industry
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute long-term plans that drive business growth
  • Strong Relationship Builder: Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of building and maintaining relationships at all levels
  • Skilled Negotiator: Experience handling complex deal negotiations and collaborating with legal teams to finalize agreements
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can work independently

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Grow NAMER Sales Strategy: Build and scale a high-performing team of BDMs in Primer’s next major market. Lead by example by owning and delivering on key sales targets
  • Drive New Business Growth: Identify potential merchant customers, establish relationships with key stakeholders (including C-level executives), and manage the sales pipeline end-to-end
  • Develop and Nurture Relationships: Open doors to new prospect engagements and earn trust through strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Become a Product Expert: Develop a deep understanding of Primer’s value proposition to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders
  • Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product, partnerships, and marketing teams to ensure sales efforts align with overall business strategy. Inspire trust and confidence within the sales team by embodying a "doer" mindset
  • Instill a Culture of High Performance: Drive urgency and accountability while upholding the highest level of integrity. Ensure strong adherence to internal and external commitments
  • Develop and Mentor Talent: Coach and guide team members, identifying their strengths and mapping them to growth opportunities for long-term career success
