Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining a patient-centered approach
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare systems
  • Proficiency in using patient management software and other relevant technology
  • Ability to empathize with and assist patients from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Amenable to work in a graveyard shift

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls from patients, addressing inquiries, and providing information regarding healthcare services
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, registration, and navigate their healthcare options
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, explaining coverage details to patients
  • Handle inquiries related to medical billing, referrals, and prior authorizations
  • Resolve patient concerns and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and effective problem-solving strategies
  • Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives to facilitate a seamless experience
  • Document patient interactions accurately and maintain records in the system
