Summary

Join Alpaca, a global brokerage infrastructure technology company, as an HR Generalist! This role offers a wide range of responsibilities supporting HR functions across the APAC region, with a focus on Japan. You will manage employee onboarding, benefits, compliance, and performance reviews, while also acting as the primary point of contact for the APAC region. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English and Japanese is required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HR generalist or HRBP role
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Multilingual in at least English and Japanese
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Global and cultural sensitivity

Responsibilities

  • Supporting employment agreements
  • Onboarding new employees in Japan
  • Managing employee benefits and compensation
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant HR laws and regulations
  • Dotted line support to the Head of Japan to support HR changes, needs, etc
  • Manage visa support with scrivener with urgency to provide data and application responses quickly
  • Adhoc admin work as needed
  • Supporting performance reviews, engagement surveys or other global initiatives at a local level
  • Primary point of contact for APAC region
  • Support employee trainings, orientations, new hire conversations, etc
  • Regularly connects with IT support in Japan to review onboarding and offboarding in region
  • Create and prepare offer letters for all employees using multiple contract agreements
  • Maintain employment offer reviews on an annual basis
  • Maintain NDA review on an annual basis
  • Support Ask HR Jira board tickets and timely responses during APAC hours
  • Maintaining employee records in HRIS and HRIS management including maintenance of holidays and employee details
  • Support global payroll in Deel and/or ADP
  • Create and maintain monthly reporting metrics
  • Act as POC to report concerns, changes, etc to AlpacaDB regarding all APAC region employees
  • Collaborate on HR tool selection to be inclusive to the APAC region needs for items such as HRIS, payroll input details, etc. Reducing redundancy of programs and duplicate entry
