Summary
Join Myers-Holum as an HR Coordinator and play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless HR processes and a positive employee experience. Coordinate employee lifecycle processes, maintain HR systems and records, and assist with HR program administration. Ensure efficient and timely handling of HR activities while providing responsive support. The role involves coordinating new hire onboarding, supporting offboarding activities, maintaining employee records, and conducting audits. You will also respond to employee inquiries, prepare documentation, support cross-functional teams, and assist in improving HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate new hire onboarding: send welcome communications, prepare system setup and materials, facilitate orientation, and ensure compliance-related tasks are completed
- Serve as the primary contact for new hires, providing timely support and guidance throughout their onboarding journey
- Support offboarding activities including system deactivations, final documentation, and exit communications, ensuring adherence to retention policies
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HRIS systems
- Track and process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and other personnel actions, ensuring prompt and correct data updates
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and legal compliance
- Monitor the HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and care
- Prepare employment-related documentation such as verification letters, status confirmations, and internal memos
- Support cross-functional teams with employee communications and document coordination
- Assist in documenting and improving HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and legal compliance
- Support the execution of HR projects, audits, and reporting activities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 1β3 years of administrative or HR experience
- Experience with HRIS platforms and maintaining employee data
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
