Summary
Join Pallon's fast-growing team as a proactive and experienced HR Manager to oversee workforce planning, contractor management, and HR processes for a dynamic, distributed team. You will ensure the right talent is in place, fostering a culture of engagement, efficiency, and compliance. This role requires managing a large contractor workforce, building scalable HR processes for a hybrid team, and thriving in high-growth environments. You will design and optimize HR processes, develop contractor engagement strategies, and ensure compliance with global labor laws. Partnering with team leads on workforce planning and managing People communications are also key responsibilities. Leading and developing a small HR team is also expected.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on workforce management, freelance teams, or contractor-heavy environments
- Experience managing a large, distributed workforce (e.g., freelancers, gig workers, global remote teams)
- Proven ability to build and implement HR processes from scratch, ensuring scalability and efficiency
- Strong understanding of freelancer engagement best practices, compliance, and workforce planning
- Analytical mindset, with experience using data to drive HR strategy and decision-making
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Exceptional stakeholder management skillsβable to partner with leadership teams and support cross-functional initiatives
- Experience with HR technology, workforce planning tools, and global payroll platforms
- A self-starter who takes ownership, thrives independently and can lead effectively in a remote-first company
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, compliance, and workforce engagement
- Develop and manage a contractor engagement strategy, including contract negotiation, performance tracking, and retention initiatives
- Oversee compliance with global labor laws and regulations for a remote, distributed workforce
- Analyze and optimize workflows to support business growth, ensuring we remain agile and scalable
- Partner with team leads on workforce planning, performance management, and data-driven decision-making
- Manage all People communications, responding promptly to inquiries and maintaining HR systems and ticketing processes
- Own end-to-end hiring processes, including refining talent acquisition strategies and leveraging data to enhance recruitment outcomes
- Lead and develop a small HR team, ensuring we meet our quarterly and annual goals
