  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong social media skills relevant to recruiting and onboarding
  • Strong technical applications skills, including HRIS, Microsoft Office 360 with high proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Interest and ability to be flexible in a fast-changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees and leaders
  • Promote and model Harbor’s company values
  • Maintain electronic files for all employees in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Process new hires, including paperwork, HRIS, files, notifying payroll, providing support for on-boarding plans, and coordinating exit interviews and deprovisioning for terminated team members
  • Administer health and retirement plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Handles event planning including Employee Appreciation events and other employee engagement initiatives
  • Handles the administration of employee award program activities, including the spot, values, and anniversary awards
  • Process unemployment and workers compensation claims
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Coordinates local health and safety requirements, including committee meetings, trainings, building compliance, and reporting
