The HR Manager will also champion a people-first culture, oversee employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of HR leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience operating within multiple HR functions
  • Passionate commitment to building and evolving a people-first company culture with proven experience in developing and implementing impactful employee engagement and cultural initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in compensation management
  • In-depth knowledge of benefits administration
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business objectives into HR strategies and initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 pounds, occasional bending and reaching
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company’s mission, vision, values and strategic goals, with a strong emphasis on fostering a people-first culture
  • Collaborate effectively with departments on all human capital matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement
  • Mentor and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Support the HR budget and manage resources effectively
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive and competitive total rewards strategy, including incentive plans, recognition and wellness programs, leave policies and health, wellness and retirement benefits that attract, motivate and retain top talent
  • Monitor market trends and compensation and benefit options to ensure total rewards packages remain competitive and equitable
  • Stay up -to-date on changes to employment law and regulations that impact benefits and compensation
  • Support job evaluation and classification processes
  • Manage relationships with benefits brokers and vendors ensuring optimal service and value
  • Track and analyze benefits utilization data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Partner with leadership to assess and optimize organizational structure, roles and responsibilities to support business strategy and growth
  • Drive change management initiatives, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth transitions and employee adoption
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness, communication and collaboration
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, inform decision making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives
  • Act as a key architect and steward of DWC’s people-first culture, developing and implementing initiatives that promote employee well-being, engagement and a positive work environment
  • Champion programs and policies that reinforce company values and foster a sense of belonging and community
  • Develop and implement strategies to gather employee feedback (e.g., surveys, focus groups) and translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Oversee employee relations, providing guidance and resolution on complex issues while fostering a fair and respectful workplace
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records
  • Manage HRIS system, and accuracy of all personnel records
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is preferred
  • HR certification is preferred
  • Experience working in a distribution environment is preferred
  • Previous experience in a fast-growing company is preferred
