Summary
Join Ascend Healthcare as an Onboarding Specialist and manage the candidate-to-employee experience, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. You will coordinate pre-screening, onboarding documents, serve as a point of contact, and lead new hire orientation. This fully remote role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming experience. While HR experience isn't required, a detail-oriented approach and ability to collaborate effectively are essential. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional working experience in fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups
- Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with strong organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks to completion
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for creating positive and memorable experiences for others
Responsibilities
- Manage the pre-screening process, including coordinating background checks and drug testing
- Collect and process new-hire onboarding documentation
- Assist in answering candidate questions
- Ensure all required onboarding documentation, including Form I-9 verification and E-Verify, is completed accurately and in compliance with federal guidelines and deadlines
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the pre-hire and onboarding phase, addressing questions and concerns
- Facilitate engaging and informative new hire orientation sessions
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate training schedules, equipment, and system access for new hires
- Maintain and update onboarding materials to ensure relevance and accuracy
- Track onboarding progress and generate reports for HR leadership
- Analyze 30-day surveys from new employees to gather feedback and address any concerns
- Continuously assess and improve onboarding processes to enhance the candidate and new hire experience
- Serve as backup point of contact for credentialing partners and assist with credentialing process as needed
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other onboarding tools
- Prior experience in a customer service, coordination, or onboarding role
- Familiarity with employment laws and compliance requirements related to onboarding
