Implementation Engineer

Summary

Join Harbor's Legal Technology + Operations practice as an Implementation Engineer! This remote position (US, UK, Australia, or Canada) focuses on ensuring client satisfaction through successful Intapp solution installations. You will leverage advanced expertise in deployment methodologies and provide leadership to the team. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, implementing legal systems, acting as an escalation point for complex issues, performing system upgrades and migrations, and managing client communication. The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience, 2-5 years in a customer-facing software implementation role within a legal environment, and expertise in Microsoft SQL. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Have a four-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Have at least 2-5 years of experience in a customer-facing software implementation role in a legal services/law firm environment
• Have experience writing Microsoft SQL Server queries with a solid understanding of relational database structure and normalization
• Have expert proficiency with Microsoft SQL scripting language
• Be competent in the following areas: problem solving, customer-focus, communication, collaboration, organizational support, quality focus, and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and install and implement industry-standard legal systems, integrations, and enterprise solutions
• Provide leadership to all members of the team
• Have advanced expertise with deployment methodologies
• Act as the escalation point for complex situations and create effective solutions
• Be highly proficient with products and features
• Act as go-to for go-live off-hours help for internal resources or general technical hurdles
• Perform upgrades to production systems as needed
• Migrate on-premises solutions to the Cloud using REST service via 3rd party tools
• Write reports to review historical data using SQL and/or cloud-based reporting solutions
• Own the end-to-end implementation of software products and services. This includes project scoping, planning, development, installation, configuration, deployment, and support
• Own client communication process and be responsible for setting client expectations on a project basis
• Assist with product rollouts by ensuring end users are trained to be fully conversant with the software
• Be responsible for prioritizing and managing own workload to meet client expectations
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Provide design and architecture expertise for delivering client integrations
• Understand, develop, and implement integrations with a variety of systems including AD, Microsoft SQL Server Systems, flat files, XML files, and APIs on behalf of clients
• Provision Boomi ATOMS and troubleshoot on-prem resource access
• Deliver new integrations as both a technical resource for configuration and a functional resource working closely with client teams
• Perform maintenance activities for our client integrations, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
• Be responsible for the overall integration strategy and rationalization of integrations
• Populate cloud-hosted systems using REST services
• Work closely with clients to roll out new software solutions that contain their data
• Review and resolve complex technical support requests as needed
• Consistently maintain 80-90% of time spent on client-billable projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Have expert proficiency in the following technical areas: XML, JQUERY/JSON, REST APIs, Parquet
• Have expert proficiency in the following technical areas: IIS, SSL, XML, JQUERY
• Have experience with ETL concepts and how ETL/Data Warehousing integrations differ from bi-directional sync style integrations
• Have experience using Sisense reporting tool
• Have experience in Legal systems such as Aderant, Elite, iManage
• Have an advanced level of knowledge in the legal operations and technical fields
• Have experience with Dell Boomi
• Have experience using Microsoft ADF
• Have experience with ADF object types: Pipeline, Dataset, DataFlow, Linked Service, Integration Runtimes
• Have experience leveraging Microsoft Data Factory to export data between systems
• Have experience with keeping systems in sync using Data Factory tools
• Have experience with Azure Data Factory
• Have experience using the following: KeyVault, Storage (Blob & ADLSg2), Logic Apps or Power Automate
• Have experience with Azure DevOps or Git (preferred) or TFVC
• Have experience with Functions and connecting Azure services using Managed Identities (a plus)
