Summary

Join yes. every kid. as an Implementation Policy Analyst and play a key role in supporting states in launching and improving education freedom programs. This position focuses on the hands-on work of helping state agencies design, execute, and refine family-centered programs. You will work closely with agency staff and internal teams to develop and deliver critical implementation deliverables. This role is crucial as the team expands its work and pursues new strategic engagements. The position is remote with an optional in-person office in Arlington, VA. The analyst will contribute to the design and documentation of customer service strategies, technology integrations, and family engagement resources. The role requires travel up to 25% to support state implementation work.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in state government, policy implementation, or education reform with direct involvement in program operations
  • Strong understanding of program administration, state agency operations and/or vendor management within K-12 education systems
  • Excellent written communication, capable of developing polished deliverables for internal and external audiences
  • Skilled at working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Mission-aligned – passionate about making education programs work better for families

Responsibilities

  • Support active implementation efforts across multiple states with a focus on K-12 education freedom programs (e.g., ESAs, tax credits, open enrollment)
  • Draft implementation tools such as state-specific project plans, RFP outlines, stakeholder communications, FAQs, process documentation, and family/provider materials
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of customer service strategies, technology integrations, and family engagement resources
  • Draft memos, internal briefings, and external deliverables to support implementation planning and execution
  • Represent yes. every kid. foundation. in communications with agency staff and other state-level stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and follow-ups related to new state engagements
  • Travel (up to 25%) may be required to support state implementation work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ESA, tax credit, or open enrollment policy design
  • Prior experience supporting or advising state agency staff
