Summary

Requirements

  • Pursuing Chartered Accountancy
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, payroll processes, and financial concepts
  • Basic knowledge of payroll regulations, direct and indirect taxes (Income Tax, GST)
  • Proficiency in MS office and accounting. Knowledge of ERP would be an added advantage
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with accounting standards
  • Participate in month-end and year-end financial closing activities
  • Help prepare variance analysis and management reports
  • Assist in direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax
  • Support in filing tax returns and ensuring accurate tax reporting
  • Work on tax audits and assessments under the guidance of senior team members
  • Assist in internal and statutory audits by providing necessary documents and information
  • Help review internal controls and suggest improvements for compliance and efficiency
  • Participate in the evaluation of operational risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Verification of payroll master data, including employee names, designations, salary structures, and statutory deductions
  • Review of employee records for accurate start dates, termination dates, and any payroll adjustments such as bonuses, overtime, or deductions
  • Reconcile payroll accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with corporate laws, SEBI regulations, payroll regulations, and other applicable financial laws
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and payroll regulations
  • Participate in special projects or assignments as requested by the finance leadership team
  • Provide support in business process improvements and automation initiatives
