Summary
Join Herd as a Sales Consultant and guide Health and Wellness Professionals through the complexities of private practice finances. You will act as a trusted advisor, not a hard-seller, focusing on building trust and providing clarity. Conduct 30-minute video consultations to understand clients' needs and tailor solutions using Herd's all-in-one platform. Manage a high-velocity sales pipeline in HubSpot, ensuring timely and empathetic follow-up. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and strategy. This role requires empathy, teaching ability, quick thinking, and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Radical Empathy: You can patiently listen to a prospect's long, anxious story without interrupting. You hear the fear and uncertainty underneath their questions and respond with reassurance and validation, not just facts and figures
- The Heart of a Teacher: You genuinely enjoy explaining complex topics in simple, accessible terms. You find satisfaction in seeing the "aha!" moment when a prospect finally understands a concept they've been struggling with. You never use jargon and are never condescending
- Quick-Thinking & Diagnostically-Minded: You are an exceptional listener who can diagnose a situation on the fly. You can hear a single keyword and immediately understand its implication for the sales process, allowing you to pivot your approach in real-time
- Process-Driven & Organized: You are meticulous with details. You understand that setting clear next steps, managing a pipeline in HubSpot, and communicating promotions accurately are essential for creating a seamless and trustworthy customer experience
- 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle consultative sales role, preferably in SaaS, FinTech, or another service-based B2B environment
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of consultations and a fast-paced sales pipeline
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with modern sales tools (CRM is a must; HubSpot preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled, 30-minute video consultations with therapists to understand their unique business needs and personal financial situations, 8+ a day
- Skillfully diagnose complex prospect situations (e.g., multi-state practices, mixed W2/1099 income, pre-existing CPA relationships) and tailor a clear, simple solution
- Present Herdβs all-in-one platform with confidence, focusing on the core outcomes of peace of mind, time savings, and financial clarity
- Effectively manage a high-velocity sales pipeline (hitting daily activity targets) in HubSpot, ensuring every prospect receives timely, professional, and empathetic follow-up
- Collaborate with the broader sales and marketing teams to share insights from your calls, helping to refine our messaging, content, and overall strategy
Preferred Qualifications
A background in or strong familiarity with accounting, tax concepts, or the mental health industry
