Insurance Benefits Associate

Join Parsley Health as a Member Insurance Benefits Associate to research and communicate insurance benefits and eligibility information with members.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years in the health tech or medical field in a similar position (experience working in a startup environment is a bonus)
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information in a way that is easy for patients to understand
• Comfortable in amorphous, fast-paced environments and with constantly evolving responsibilities
• Tech-savvy skills: very comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms and efficient in tech-related tasks

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits and check eligibility of all members
• Proactively outreach members to communicate cost estimates based on their insurance coverage and benefits
• Ensure patients understand the process for how out-of-network care works (when applicable)
• Identify trends or patient issues and initiate corrective action to improve the patient experience in terms of cost transparency
• Resolve issues with patient invoices and alleviate confusion around any outstanding billing items
• Manage protected health information and follow all HIPAA policies and procedures
• Provide feedback and advice on product/technology/process improvements
