Join our team as a Consumer Intern in the New York office, focusing on supporting consumer PR programs and initiatives for current clients and new business pitches.

Requirements

• 6 months internship experience in public relations or related communications field preferred
• Bachelor’s degree
• Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and exceptional interpersonal skills are a must
• MS Office proficiency is a must
• Must be pro-active and able to operate effectively both independently and within a team
• Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to aid in strategy development
• Coordinate with outside vendors
• Create and distribute mailers, press kits, and briefing kits
• Draft media materials like press releases, fact sheets, briefing sheets, and pitches
• Hone media relations skills including media list development and actively pitch media across verticals
• Ideate around, plan, and design content for clients’ social channels
• Manage event logistics and provide day-of-event on-site support
• Manage the day-to-day activities for 1-3 accounts
• Participate in client brainstorming and program ideation
• Participate in community management with the opportunity to contribute directly to clients’ social channels
• Perform media monitoring and tracking
• Support administrative staff and overall office operations as needed
