IT System Engineer

Summary

Join our global IT operations team as a fully remote Systems Engineer! This challenging and rewarding role requires strong technical expertise and business acumen. You will design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability, security, and scalability. Your expertise in infrastructure as code, systems infrastructure, cloud technologies, and network infrastructure will be key. The position offers flexible hours (Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM in your time zone). Good home internet is required.

Requirements

• Demonstrate effective communication in English (oral and written)
• Possess 3-5 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role
• Have strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI)
• Have experience with systems infrastructure technologies (virtualization, containerization, Docker, SAN, BDR, patch/vulnerability management)
• Show proficiency in cloud services (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, Exchange Online)
• Possess a solid understanding of network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewall policies, SD-WAN, load balancers, VPNs, ACLs, NSGs)
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Be self-motivated, take initiative and ownership of your duties
• Enjoy working in a collaborative environment, value mentorship, and can balance priorities
• Be a team player but also able to operate independently

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage infrastructure through automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and Azure CLI
• Implement and maintain virtualization, containerization (Docker), SAN, BDR, and patch/vulnerability management solutions for Windows and Linux
• Manage and optimize cloud services, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, and Exchange Online
• Design and maintain network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewall policy, VPNs (point-to-point and site-to-site), SD-WAN, load balancers, ACLs and NSGs

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with automation and orchestration tools
• Be familiar with security best practices and compliance standards
• Have experience working in a global team
