Systems Engineer

Summary

Join NBCUniversal's growing Corporate Technology team as a Systems Engineer (Cloud FinOps)! This role focuses on FinOps for AWS cloud services, supporting various services from SAP on AWS to custom cloud applications. You will contribute to core Cloud FinOps functions and finance operations, including supplier and vendor management. The position requires experience in cloud finance operations, AWS FinOps, and data analysis. It offers a fully remote work arrangement and competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and tuition reimbursement. The salary range is $110,000-$130,000.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
• 3+ years of demonstrable experience in cloud finance operations
• Demonstrated experience working on FinOps for AWS and other hyperscaler platforms
• Knowledge of SAP design patterns, deployments and operations in AWS cloud
• AWS FinOps certification or FinOps foundation certification
• Experience with using and building dashboards using tools such as PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud etc
• A love of data and ability to use it to drive business outcomes
• Working knowledge of SAP Financials and how to ask, interpret and use data within it
• Ability to work independently as well as interactively with other team members is essential
• Highly organized & detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Outstanding attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical skills
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence

Responsibilities

• Build and operate a variety of services from SAP running on AWS to SAP SAAS services, custom applications on cloud and many others
• Drive better cost management, reporting and cloud spend optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• A background in Finance and FinOps
• Advanced excel skills
• Knowledge of processes around supplier & vendor management
• Experience in 6 sigma Methodologies- Participated in Lean Projects
• Master's degree in a finance or business discipline
