Jr. Data Engineer

Summary

Join NinjaHoldings as a Jr. Data Engineer and become part of a team of analytics and machine learning experts. You will build tooling to support analytics, extend our machine learning platform, expand and optimize our data pipeline architecture, and collaborate with the Development team. The ideal candidate possesses software engineering and data wrangling experience, enjoys optimizing data systems, and is comfortable supporting multiple teams' data needs. You will be instrumental in optimizing or redesigning our data architecture to support future products and initiatives. Requirements

• A Bachelor's in (or senior majoring in) computer science, engineering or related field
• Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
• Understanding of ETL, data pipelines, and constructing data sets from raw data
• Supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
• Ability to manage projects with tight deadlines, follow through to completion, and present conclusions of analysis to senior management in an organized and thoughtful manner

Responsibilities

• Maintain and augment data pipeline architecture
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Python, DBT, and AWS
• Basic data modeling
• Building infrastructure and jobs to clean and transform information

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Python scripting
• Experience using DBT
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with AWS infrastructure setup
