Summary

Join Intelligent Editing as a Junior Account Manager and manage a portfolio of key customer accounts. This role begins with a three-month learning period focusing on product knowledge, key sectors, and internal systems. Following this, you will be responsible for account retention and growth. The ideal candidate possesses sales experience, strong customer relationship skills, and a passion for understanding customer needs. You will collaborate with colleagues across the business and attend industry events. This is a fully remote position based in the UK.

Requirements

  • Have a strong belief in our company values of enthusiasm, empathy, listening, accepting, trust, and quality
  • Have a strong business acumen gained from at least two years’ experience in previous sales and/or customer-facing roles
  • Have the ability to actively listen to customers and understand their needs and concerns, and effectively communicate this information to team members
  • Have attention to detail, as well as strong organisation, time management, and prioritisation skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent vocational qualification
  • Have a keen interest in language, writing, and editing

Responsibilities

  • Meet customers within your portfolio and become familiar with their history at Intelligent Editing. Facilitate customer calls to learn more about their needs, provide product demos, and identify growth opportunities
  • Proactively check in with customers under your management and respond to queries to resolve any issues that arise in a timely manner
  • Identify accounts who can benefit from product training and arrange sessions with our Customer Success Managers
  • Research the organisations under your management to identify potential growth opportunities
  • Arrange quarterly/semi-annual/annual check-ins with customers
  • Actively work to retain key accounts, and ensure renewals are made promptly
  • Identify accounts at risk of cancellation and collaborate with the team to mitigate that risk
  • Attend conferences and other industry events, in the UK and overseas
  • Take detailed notes of all customer interactions in our CRM, so that all colleagues working with the account understand the relationship
  • Carefully listen to customer requests and collect feedback. Track customer feature requests
  • Be prepared to cover additional responsibilities, including basic admin tasks, when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have professional experience in a software company
  • Have past sales experience in the medical and/or proposals sector
  • Have experience and confidence attending conferences and presenting to large groups
  • Have knowledge of house styles and style manuals
