Junior Accountant

Summary

The Junior Accountant will assist in the day-to-day operation of the accounting department, focusing on Ecommerce sales and potential fraud risk. They are expected to have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, CPA designation or be on the path to obtaining it, prior experience as an accounting clerk with 2-3 years of experience, SAP experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment, and a demonstrated attention to detail. The job is hybrid.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting is required
• Professional designation (CPA) or on path to obtaining CPA designation
• Prior Experience as an accounting clerk with 2-3 years of experience mainly focused on general accounting in a Consumer Products Company. Fashion Industry Background helpful but not required
• Experience should be with an organization of substantial size $100M + annual revenue and more than 100 retail stores, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly and yearly closings
• Prepare journal entries and maintain proper supporting documentations
• Assist with bank reconciliation process
• Assist with fixed asset process and related journal entries
• Assist with fraud, chargeback, and open invoice analysis
• Process the annual business license renewals and property taxes
• Prepare and respond to government surveys and annual reports
• Assist with internal and external audit requirement
• Ad hoc analysis and special projects as required from time to time
