Summary

Join Wpromote as a Junior Accountant and contribute to the financial success of our agency. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, processing vendor and client invoices, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with digital media and agency accounting. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and is located in the Pacific Time Zone, with a preference for Southern California/Los Angeles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with NetSuite, Expensify, or similar ERP software
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP and recent accounting trends
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Operational experience with a focus on process improvement and documentation
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Experience in an agency, digital media, or high-growth environment

Responsibilities

  • Billing, coding, and processing all client invoices
  • Maintaining client profiles and billing sheets
  • Processing client payments via check, wire/ACH, and credit card
  • Supporting client collections and sending past due notices
  • Reconciling and billing all client-related travel expenses
  • Reconciling passthrough spend (client-related billable) vs. prebilled amounts
  • Preparing audit selections and responding to external auditor requests
  • Documenting internal controls to ensure completion of the month-end close checklist
  • Acting as a trusted business partner and providing excellent service across the organization
  • Staying up to date on new and proposed accounting standards and their impact
  • Participating in ad hoc projects
  • Identifying and improving policies and procedures for more efficient department processes
  • Coding and processing all vendor invoices (overhead and operational)
  • Managing vendor maintenance, including W-9s, contracts, and banking information
  • Issuing yearly 1099s
  • Conducting weekly check and ACH payment runs
  • Completing credit card reconciliation and T&E expense reimbursements in a timely manner
  • Managing both AP and AR email inboxes efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

Located in the Pacific Time Zone, with a preference for those in the Southern California/Los Angeles area
