Junior/Mid DevOps and Backend Software Engineer in Spain

Summary

The job description is for a mid-level DevOps Engineer at EXUS AI Labs to support large-scale Research and Innovation Projects. The role involves managing infrastructure of software solutions, building and deploying application code, collaborating with teams, ensuring robust deployments, maintaining servers, troubleshooting issues, improving processes, and requires a BSc degree in Computer Science, DevOps experience, proficiency in Git, Docker, Shell Scripting, CI/CD tools, and excellent English language skills. Preferred skills include cloud platform deployment experience, Kubernetes, monitoring tools, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science (MSc studies will be appreciated)
• At least two years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Proficiency in Git, Docker, Shell Scripting
• Strong experience in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Ansible, Terraform

Responsibilities

• Building and deploying application code to cloud and on-premises servers through CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborating with software development teams providing infrastructure support
• Ensuring robust, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient deployments
• Infrastructure management and system administration through maintaining the servers, storage, and networking resources required to host applications
• Collaborating with IT team to troubleshoot issues
• Improving and automating continuous processes and practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience in applications deployment on the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Experience in Kubernetes
• Experience in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana
