Summary

This Business Development role focuses on driving new business by leveraging customer relationships and insights. You will identify key decision-makers, understand customer needs, and position the company effectively through consultative selling. The salary range is $150,000 to $200,000, augmented by annual bonuses and a robust benefits package.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, with the ability to manage and nurture customer relationships effectively
  • Expertise in identifying customer decision-makers and influencers and building relationships both through warm connections and cold outreach
  • Strong consultative selling skills, with a track record of positioning companies positively in customer engagements
  • Prior background in delivery-focused roles such as senior program or product manager, solution architect, or similar positions
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant delivery roles, demonstrating credibility with customers and an understanding of their needs
  • Familiarity with federal civilian agencies, including but not limited to CMS, USCIS, FEMA, FDIC, GSA, VA, ACF, FDA, and other aligned entities. A more focused familiarity with CMS is also acceptable
  • A background in portfolio management, program management, account management, business development, or capture management - in roles with explicit growth responsibilities
  • Ability to speak knowledgeably about the companyโ€™s capabilities and represent the companyโ€™s services and solutions in a meaningful way

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business by leveraging strong customer relationships and insights
  • Identify and connect with key customer decision-makers and influencers, both through existing relationships/referrals and cold outreach
  • Gain insights into potential opportunities through customer engagement, identifying and understanding their needs
  • Position the company positively with customers through genuine consultative selling, fostering long-term partnerships
  • Collaborate with internal teams on growth-related responsibilities such as proposal management, business development operations, and leading growth initiatives
  • Support the design, leadership, and expansion of growth teams as needed
  • Align with and contribute to business development efforts focused on federal civilian agencies, including regulatory bodies and other relevant government sectors
