Summary
Join Tide, a rapidly growing finance platform for small businesses, as a Lead Product Designer in the Experience Foundations team. You will be responsible for the product design of a horizontal product supporting all aspects of the platform's user experience. Working with a cross-functional team, you will reimagine experiences, create high-quality design artifacts, and advocate for user needs. This role requires significant experience in UX/Product Design, specifically within a SaaS environment. Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant commercial experience in a comparable UX Design or Product Design role, ideally with scale up / start up experience in a SaaS company
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher
- In-depth knowledge of User Experience and Product Design methodologies - including Design Thinking - across the full range of user-centred design activities
- Extensive experience with user testing, research, and iterative product discovery
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Figma; creating compelling Visiontypes and landing a strong narrative to support it
- Led or played a key role in the design of world-class product design and launch in a fast-growing company before
- Experience of working in an agile environment and scale-up environment
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, setting clear milestones, incrementally breaking down work, and adapting plans as needed
- Being data-driven in your approach, with experience of using tools like Looker, Heap, GA, Hotjar or similar to inform your design
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the Product Design of the only product horizontal that supports and drives all speedboats creating an ever improving user experience within the Tide platform
- Drive forward our experience strategy by creating a cohesive, connected, frictionless customer experience that works with all areas of the platform
- Work with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Engineers, UX Writers, and other Product Designers
- Work in a fast-paced, delivery-driven organisation, where you must prove the value and impact of your design work to your peers and the leaders within and outside of experience foundations
- Reimagine experiences and building best-in-class; experience foundations are leading our experience transformation at Tide and so this is not about just optimising what we have now
- Create thoughtful and high quality design artefacts for discovery, research and journey mapping through to the execution of final high-fidelity designs
- Represent the voice of the user and have a deep understanding of the needs of the members you're designing for; leading user research sessions, gleaning previous insights, digging into usage analytics, and framing your own research and analysis to build understanding of what, why, and how of the problems you're solving for our members
- Play a pivotal role in advocating for user needs with Product and Engineering teams; bringing them inside the Design process and demonstrating the value of a Design Thinking approach
- Work to help make sure our long-term strategy, business goals, and experience quality are all aligned and that there are healthy opportunities for visibility and feedback
