Summary

Join Alpaca, a leading brokerage infrastructure technology company, as a Lead Product Manager to define and drive new product initiatives and manage a portfolio of existing brokerage products. You will collaborate with engineering, analytics, design, and partnerships teams to ideate and deliver features, analyze ROI and market competition, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to the product roadmap. This role involves leading customer calls to gather insights, participating in regulatory calls, and reporting on product status. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, 5+ years of experience in product management or engineering, demonstrated interest in brokerage and fintech, and strong analytical and communication skills. Requirements

  • Excited about what Alpaca is building
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, and/or starting a startup
  • Demonstrated interest in Brokerage and FinTech
  • Experience analyzing data using SQL and a relevant BI tool
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and collaboration skills
  • Business acumen to understand tradeoffs between stakeholders and technology feasibility with time and budget constraints

Responsibilities

  • Own brokerage products
  • Write product requirements and work with engineers to execute programs
  • Drive brokerage product strategy by analyzing ROI, market competition, and build-vs-buy scenarios
  • Improve the brokerage operation efficiency by providing solutions and owning the metrics
  • Contribute to the product roadmap and product strategy
  • Lead customer calls around brokerage process and product issues to gain insights and reduce them to products
  • Participate in calls with external regulators to drive the product strategy and execution
  • Report timely and accurately on product status and results to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and background working on and developing Brokerage products is a plus
  • Technical background working with APIs
