Summary

Join Fivetran as a Lead Solution Architect, Enterprise and help customers implement and optimize Fivetran connectors across various data environments. You will lead the installation and setup of Fivetran connectors, troubleshoot and resolve issues during implementation, provide training and support to customer teams, and ensure accurate data replication. This role requires at least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role, a strong understanding of data integration and replication, technical knowledge across databases and systems, proficiency in SQL and command-line scripting, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will be working directly with customer stakeholders, defining requirements, and facilitating an architecture and integration that fulfills those requirements. This is a full-time position based remotely in the Eastern US covering the Eastern time zone.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role, focusing on helping customers implement and optimize data integration solutions
  • A strong understanding of data integration and replication, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers
  • Experience with various databases, data warehouses, and operating systems, enabling support for diverse customer environments
  • Proficiency in SQL and command-line scripting to assist with technical setups and troubleshoot issues
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including SSH tunneling and VPNs, to assist customers in configuring secure data replication solutions
  • Ability to analyze customer challenges and provide database, data warehouse, and networking optimizations to improve system performance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers, provide clear explanations, and collaborate with internal teams
  • A proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Proven ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet customer needs efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation and setup of Fivetran connectors (including application, database, file, and event types) for customers, ensuring environments are prepared for replication. This involves
  • Preparing environments for replication, including SQL scripting or command-line operations to ensure proper transaction logging, archiving/backup, and table analysis/preparation
  • Configuring high-volume database connectors using user interfaces (UIs) and command-line tools to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with customer teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during implementation
  • Assisting with data validation to ensure accurate data replication
  • Analyzing and optimizing performance to align with customer expectations
  • Offering database and environment tuning to improve overall efficiency
  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to customer teams, enabling them to manage Fivetran’s LDP connectors and data pipelines independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate processes or resolve issues
  • Experience with Kubernetes or containerized environments is a plus, particularly for cloud-based implementations
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, New Relic, Salesforce, REST APIs
  • Experience with Data Lakes such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage and Microsoft ADLS2
  • Knowledge of mainframe systems such as IBM iSeries
  • SAP
  • Docker or Podman
