Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
• Clearance: Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• 8+ Years of experience in IT industry with at least 4 years in Technical Lead position
• Experience with Java development background and having worked on design, optimizations and performance tuning
• Excellent understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, and load balancers
• Hands-on experience on multiple technologies such as Java/J2EE & middleware (WebLogic, Apache, Spring Boot, etc.) technologies in UNIX environment and Scripting languages such as UNIX Shell
• Build automation / CICD pipeline integration tools (Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, Artifactory, etc.)
• Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sybase, DB2) – Oracle is primary
• Information and application security including LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, SSH, access credentials, etc
• CompTIA Security+
• Working knowledge of legacy web frameworks such as GWT and MVC

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Lead on projects, providing technical guidance and oversight to the project execution team in collaboration with our Program Manager
• Ensure alignment between project activities and accepted scope, negotiate with the customers, vendors, and other partners on changes to scope
• Own full end-to-end delivery of software products and lead team members of varying professional levels
• Drive/Lead key technical and architectural decisions for the systems, provide and influence key designing decisions for the technology, infrastructure and configuration of the systems for scalability and capacity
• Lead a team of employees and contractors to maintain and enhance applications with legacy technologies
• Provide direction to keep team on track to complete projects and ensure project goals are met by assigning tasks to team members and timely follow ups
• Meet development schedules by ensuring the delivered solutions meet the technical specifications and design requirements
