Join Nuvei's Legal Department as a Legal Intern and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic fintech environment. This part-time, unpaid internship is perfect for a 2L or 3L law student or recent graduate interested in fintech, payments, commercial contracts, and regulatory law. You will support the legal team in contract management, legal research, document management, and regulatory tracking. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing and communication skills, an entrepreneurial approach, and a desire for continuous learning. This remote role offers exposure to real-world legal issues, mentorship from experienced attorneys, and potential future employment opportunities. Academic credit may be available.
Requirements
- Current law student (2L/3L) or recent JD graduate
- Demonstrated interest in fintech, financial services, or regulatory law
- Strong legal research, writing, and organization skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn
Responsibilities
- Support the legal team in management of contract lifestyle, review, drafting, and execution
- Conduct legal research on issues related to payment processing, financial regulations, data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and compliance
- Support the legal team with document management, tracking regulatory changes, and maintain internal playbooks
- Attend internal meetings and help prepare memos, risk summaries, and presentations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Risk, Sales, Finance, and Compliance teams on legal questions and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Prior internship or work experience in payments, banking, or technology law a plus
