Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a US freight brokerage or logistics company
  • Proven ability to negotiate rates and manage carrier relationships
  • Strong understanding of US transportation regulations, load boards, and freight networks
  • Experience using TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and load boards like DAT, Truckstop, or McLeod
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with carriers, internal teams, and customers over the phone and via email
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and profitability
  • Book and secure capacity for freight while optimizing cost efficiency
  • Communicate with carriers daily, building and maintaining long-term relationships
  • Monitor load status and ensure timely pickups and deliveries
  • Address and resolve carrier-related issues such as delays or service failures
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless load execution
  • Maintain accurate documentation and update internal systems with load details, rates, and carrier agreements
  • Actively engage new and existing carriers for available capacity and build and maintain relationships with truckload carriers
  • Support carriers, including load booking and fraud prevention activities
  • Assist with posting loads and managing load recoveries outside regular business hours
  • Provide support for Carrier Compliance tasks
